Neravanda Ganga Muthappa (tha mane Bollachettira) was born on 13th May 1919 . She spent most of her life in Balamuri, Kodagu and practiced agriculture and ran the family estate for a major portion of her life. She was married to Neravanda Muthappa, who won the Karnataka state award for best teacher and headmaster and was the proud owner of the best house in Balamuri.

She has fond memories of her days in Coorg.
